Driving Interdisciplinary Innovation: Helena Strigård joins Global Leaders at THE Science Forum
November 3, 2025
Helena Strigård, Founder of Ventures Accelerated Life Science, has been invited to speak at the upcoming Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Forum, taking place on 20 November 2025 in Washington, D.C.
Held in partnership with the Schmidt Science Fellows, this year’s forum will gather senior international leaders from universities, research organizations, industry, and funding bodies under the theme “Blueprints for interdisciplinary science in universities.” The event will explore how interdisciplinary collaboration can be embedded into academic structures, funding models, and research training across global contexts.
Helena will participate in the panel Driving Interdisciplinarity: National Strategies and Investment Models, moderated by Sara Custer, Editor-in-Chief at Inside Higher Ed, alongside Ben Johnson (University of Strathclyde) and Stephen Toope (CEO of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research). The discussion will address how governments and institutions can design long-term strategies and investment frameworks that foster cross-disciplinary collaboration, balance political and academic priorities, and build sustainable networks for innovation.
