Aqilion named finalist in the Nordic Star 2025 Pitch Competition

Recognition on the Nordic stage is more than symbolic, it’s a signal of scientific promise meeting entrepreneurial momentum. We are proud to announce that Aqilion has been selected as one of just 14 finalists in the Nordic Star 2025 Pitch Competition at Nordic Life Science Days (NLSDays), the region’s largest partnering conference.
This recognition aligns closely with Aqilion’s mission. The Swedish biotech company is dedicated to developing innovative therapies for diseases driven by chronic inflammation. With a strong scientific foundation in immunology, Aqilion focuses on small-molecule drug discovery targeting pathways that play a critical role in immune system regulation. Its pipeline includes programs addressing inflammatory bowel disease, autoimmune disorders, and other systemic inflammatory conditions, all areas of urgent and growing unmet medical need.
The Nordic Star contest is designed to spotlight high-potential life science SMEs, with finalists spanning everything from novel therapeutics to next-generation medical technologies. For Aqilion, being named a finalist highlights not only the strength of its pioneering pipeline in anti-inflammatory drug development but also the increasing visibility of Nordic biotech on the global stage.
